Wilhelmina Ojanen is a Tampere-born, Santiago de Chile-raised dance artist currently based in Tampere, Finland. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Dance Pedagogy from the University of the Arts Helsinki in 2023, and with a Master’s Degree in Dance Performance from Trinity Laban in 2018. Since 2018, she has worked mostly as a choreographer, and also as a dancer, facilitator, movement teacher and film editor.

Wilhelmina has made choreographic works for Sadler’s Wells Main Stage, Lilian Baylis Studio, The Place Theatre and the Laban Theatre, as well as site-specific works for indoor skate pools and forests. Her work explores care, more-than-human worlds, becoming, ecological grief, vulnerability and hope.

At the moment Wilhelmina is working on a series of community dance projects exploring the theme of care, as well as developing a multidisciplinary installation on the theme of soil/care.
